Is That What They’re Calling It These Days?

As much as I’d like to launch into a full-scale rant about Katie Holmes’s hair in the official Tomkat (what an ironic name; how long d’ya think it will be before that’s exactly what Tom’s doing again?) wedding photo (it looks like a circa 1980s genuine chigger mullet. Is that a Scientology-mandated wedding hairstyle?), I’m buggered and I’m off to bed. I've had to cook a delicious dinner, feed and bath the fruits of our loins, and generally do all the other things required to prevent Family and Community Services declaring us unfit parents, all by myself this evening. Mr. Lonie was 'at a seminar'.*

*Okay, now that you've all inferred Mr. Lonie is having an affair, he really was at a seminar. I'm just tired and annoyed and therefore in an irrational, imply-my-husband-is-cheating-to-spite-my-face kind of mood.

But what was it seminar about? This word covers a multitude of sins without actually lying would you like to come round to my place for a "seminar"?? See what I mean.

Lol! I believe it was something incredibly boring about electrical engineering. Plus Mr. Lonie knows if he does wrong by me, I'll electrocute his little engineer.

Chigger brings back such memories. I was brought up in Claremont, but once we hit high school, we had to confront the dreaded "Chiggers". It didn't last long. Fortunately the government was more enlightened then, and they could all drop out and have babies before finishing yr 7.

Always a scource of amusement. They seem to be multiplying by the minute over here in London. It seems that Clapham is there new fave haunt...

Now the chigger child-mothers have the $3000 baby bonus, paid in instalments of course so they can't spend it all on $300 mullets and the latest thigh-high, side-lacing ugg boots.

Neil: Is Clapham experiencing a shortage of liquor, cigarettes and dog food? That's the most reliable indication of a chigger infestation.
